Obituary: Joseph Aaron Spalding Jr., 82, Lebanon
Joseph Aaron Spalding Jr., 82, of Lebanon, died Friday, May 22, 2015, at Ardens Court of Louisville. He was born March 10, 1933, in Lebanon. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from 
Louisville General Electric and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Aaron Sr. and Cecilia Spalding; four sisters, Alice Rete Boone, Dot Osbourne, Patricia Walston, and Ann Beaven Becht; and four brothers, John A. Spalding, Bud Spalding, Jim Spalding, and Clarence Spalding.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Hardesty Spalding of Lebanon; four sons, Clarence (Ann) Spalding of Nashville, Steven (Martha) Spalding and Joe (Judy) Spalding, both of Lebanon and Kenny Spalding of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Kendall (Chad) Yates, Emily Spalding, Jane Claire Spalding (Brent Hupman), Austin Spalding, Aaron Spalding, Katlyn Spalding, Michael Spalding and Alex Spalding; and two great-grandsons, Reece Spalding and Thomas Yates.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015, at the Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with a prayer service 7 p.m. Monday with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
The Bosley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
